Back from italy!!

hallo!!!

im back...for 3 days! haha..=p

we went rome n florence this time round! =)

i like the ruins + architecture in rome. everything is brown in colour.
it's a well-preserved place..they try to keep everything the way they were.
haha but i wished i have read up more about roman history before i went. n most of the latin words i do not understand. overwhelmed. guess i prefer the atmosphere in florence..haha not coz of the shopping k...juz tat i feel i can breathe better. =)

i spend so much time eating n eating in florence!!! but there's a very nice restaurant which i would recommend to anybody going florence! we ate 3 meals there n all were very much satisfying esp the seafood pasta maxi!! lecker! =)

haha on the whole overdose of pasta n pizza n alcohol the past week. stomach calling for break. =p

once we were back..we had a nice dinner of porridge, cauliflower, veg soup, chicken soup n some liquid bread. head feel heavy. shall go grab more slp before my class. will be back with more photos! ciao! =)

another week out

haha tmr i'll be leaving for Rome n Florence for 1 week!
dun bash me..but i sort of miss my german lectures..haha =p
i called home today, v v happy to hear mum's chirpy voice..sld call home more often! but she was really surprised to hear tat i'm going away again! haha..=)
n yup! i got to watch my "da vinci code" today as well! it was kinda disappointing for me..i was expecting better..lesson learnt: "nv have too high expectation..u might be disappointed."
we had dinner at sushi sano. tried sake. taste good! esp when u finish in one big gulp. simply flows down smoothly leaving a trace of sweetness in ur throat..yummy yummy. =)

time to study!!

i'm so happy! =D
coz i juz finished doing my tutorial due nxt wed.
hee..have this sense of accomplishment n satisfaction.
now im left with packing up for Rome!!
hopefully can get to watch my Da Vinci Code tmr..*cross fingers*
k..time to slp..it has been a long day at the Dachau concentration camp.

im back in munich! happy..=)
haha i cant believe i miss here so much..
thought it has only been a week..but it feels like i've been away for sooo long..
everything seem to have changed. the bahnhof, the air... ...
but my room still feels as cosy n looks as messy as ever la. =p

it has been a fun trip definitely.
we really made full use of each day.
non stop travel for 1 week.
pretty tiring but it's worth it..=)

It's time to do something..

no more alcohol for me again!
so if u ever catch me drinking again..punch me. =p

2 weeks of travel ahead..

Haha i'm feeling pretty excited!

coz me, ling n khim will be setting off for London tmr evening!
(erm..hope they wun find me too "bright"..haha..=p)
we'll be staying 4 days in London followed by 3 days in Scotland!! =)
after which we'll be going to Rome + Florence for a week too.
2 weeks of non-stop travelling..cant wait for it all to start! =)
I'll be back in 1 week's time! haha dun miss me too much k..ciao! =)

First Italian class today!
learnt a couple of simple sentences such as:

"Lei si chiama Nardia" (She is Nardia)

"Lei studio Informetica" (She studies informatics)

The class was very interactive n i liked it. =)
I'm still wondering whether i sld take Spanish or Italian or both..hmm..=/

Our very own Singapore party! 030506

We had our Singapore party ytd! There were loads n loads of good food!! z.B lw's pig trotters, khim's chay kuay teow, alvin's famous fried rice, ling's wanton mee + popiah, yan's fried tang yuan, zoe's fried dumplings, michelle's green bean soup n of coz, my ban jian kuey! aber my ban jian kuey look more like crepes..erm..i really tried..spend lie 30 min in the supermarket tat morning trying to figure out which type of flour i sld buy until i finally gave up n consulted the supermarket person. but he have keine ahnung wat self-raising flour is..but luckily it tasted ok. =) haha ok back to the party..We invited the Spanish, Italians, French..n i can see they really eat till full full n we taught them how to use the chopsticks. some of them can even hold the chopsticks better den me now! = o we had so much fun eating drinking n chatting till late! ling was slightly tipsy n gathered the courage to take a photo with yosu. I definitely agree with her tat he has a special charm indeed. =) looking forward to the Italien party!

Salzburg!! 29/4-1/5

Finally back home from Salzburg! it's weird tat when i go travelling i'll miss my munich home but when im back i cant wait to fly out again! =) It was indeed a fruitful trip for me as i get to fulfil my two most impt aims in Salzburg, which is to visit mozart's birthplace n visit the "sound of music" filmsites!! =) It was a pity though tat i din have enuf time to visit mozart's wohnhaus (the place he lived in)..but im satisfied already. =) here's a brief recap of my salzburg trip:

The 1st day
I was soo excited to be here! have been wanting to come here since 2 yrs ago..n im finally here!!! the place where some of my favourite things are..=) The youth hostel (yoho) was a pretty nice place to live in, mostly coz it's new n for the first time in my life i dun mind sharing toilet. it feels like back in the days of my sec 3 camp. quite fun. =) one only bad thing is tat we only have 7 pple so had to share with another person (8 bed dorm)..n tat person always happen to slp early..so..we had to tiptoe n grasp ard in the dark for our stuff. quite miserable without light. it was raining tat day n most of the shops were closed as night falls. we walked ard the market area n visited the Residenzplatz + Mirabell garden + Schloss. It was a cold day!! esp when the rain gets heavier.





















The 2nd day
Hallstatt! took a bus den train there. the view outside was so beautiful!! it was white everywhere from last night's snow! feels like christmas! =) we were all so hungry by the time we reached n stumbled upon a small restaurant which served real good food + wine! yummy!! =) we planned to visit the icecave but...coz the snow from the previous night reached 30cm...it's closed for the day..we were really disappointed as we made our way down back to Hallstatt. the view was spectacular! we were surrounded by mountains n lakes. it was really WOW..=)




The 3rd day
this was the most fulfilling day of this trip! i went for the "sound of music" tour!! there was this burning sensation in me as i see the places n listen to the soundtrack while the film went through my mind over n over again. haha childhood days memories came flooding in..=) the tour guide was good n revealed to us some insides which made me go "really?" it happens tat some of the scenes in the show r cut n paste or filmed at hollywood. a bit disappointed..but well..went for lunch at this restaurant beside the river which serve v gd curry + bread! im too deprived..haha..=p after which i visited the mozart birthplace museum. none of my frens were interested so..i went alone. it was v enriching n get to learn some mozart history. v interesting..=) but somehow feel a bit odd..coz the whole grp was waiting for me at mac..v ps..hope they dun feel too bored..coz i juz have to go. =)
