Spanish dinner!

Thur is another day full of lectures n stuff..gleich wie Tuesday. had molecular biotechnology, italien and medical microbiology today. My nus professors still refuse to reply my email despite the caps locked URGENT on my email title. i suppose they'll all too busy with the exams for me. whether they agree to map or not..i've decided to take medical microbiology! although the module is v heavy with lectures n practicals twice a week..i sort of like it! enjoy doing the lab work. but was a bit embarassing when my labmates had to make sure every now n then i knew wat was going on..but i do k!! im not tat blur...=) by the time i reach home it was already near 7pm.

haha i've reached a decision..Im taking both Spanish n Italian. Spanish is where my interest really lies..Italian well, was juz for fun and usage in Rome Rome!! =) However it still terrifies me whenever i think abt the 2 weeks of class i'll be missing..my mum wld sure nag when she knows abt this so..Shhhhhh...=) of coz it is going to cost me a bomb..going to survive on bread n instant noodles when i come back..= s more looking forward to Rome den anything else!!! =)

we definitely had a hard time planning for our London trip this evening..I wanted to go to sooo many places!! Cambridge, Oxford, Aberdeen, Dublin... ... ...but i know it's not possible..so it appears as if i was talking cock..fine..but i shall go..will go..some other time ba..=(

I feel happy..had a super filling dinner oder supper juz now thanks to the Spanish! the egg omelette+potato was superb! We played "zhong ji mi ma" in order to finish all the food on the plates. n i kanna once..number 55..haha..after the session with the spanish..i reconfirmed my decision to take spanish! =) ever since i came here my appetitte really increased by a lot a lot!! i eat like 5 meals a day, n i eat fruits everyday! so unlike my lifestyle back in Singapore..where my sis always nag at me to eat more fruits. haha..guess it's like that when u live alone. All my frens were sooo shocked when i told them i was cooking..isit really sooo hard to believe...if i dun cook, i'll juz starve to death lo..so pple do change with circumstances..dun worry will cook for ur when i get back..no matter how it taste muz give face ar!! =)

Barcelona vs AC Milan

Today went Freising for my bioinformatics class with xian. met the others at the train station. haha we're all at Freising for classes..=) The bioinfomatics class was...chim. All the terms in german..ich verstehe bahnhof!! but luckily the lecturer reassured us that our lecture notes will all be in english! great news! =) we were both so slpy after the lecture coz really took 2 times the attention to listen to a lecture in german..glad tat there's no practical class today..=)

In the evening i went over to ling's place for abendessen! today the dinner theme was orange! haha..=p it was lecker! we had sweet n sour rice, chicken stuffed with cheese n ham (yum!!), fried salmon n cauliflower+carrots. =)

After dinner..football!! today's match was Barcelona vs AC Milan n..the score was 0:0. schade tat AC milan din get to proceed to the next round..but well, Barcelona is a strong team really..super impressed by their speed n attacking force! hence AC Milan defend most of the time. i dropped my right contact lens during mid-time..pretty flustered n stuff..irritated with myself for rubbing n rubbing my eyes! when all hope was gone in finding it back..it came back to me! =)

haha i sld be slping now really..have a class at 10am tmr. but..i'm too excited to slp!!

haha i..dunno! it juz reminds me of my childhood days..when i watched it over n over again..rewind watch rewind watch..loved Julie Andrews' voice, all the songs they sang..all so deeply etched in my mind. my papa loved it too! =)

yup going Salzburg + Hallstatt this weekend. saw the brochure juz now..hallstatt is sooo beautiful!! really looking forward to the trip!

25/04/06 The 2nd day of school..

i'm tired..haha wat a start to this entry..but i really am..it has been such a long day..n i realised how ignorant i am. This shall be one of my complain blog entries so dun bother to read on if u're not interested..ha..

Today i had 3 lectures at 3 different locations. It was utterly crazy!
here's where i went today:

9-10.30am Dietlindenstr - pharmacology
i was late for 15 min coz woke up late, bad start for the day..

10.30-12pm on train to Freising campus

12-1pm Freising - Animal Biotechnology
coz i have another lecture at 2pm so i had to leave early at 1pm despite the class ending at 2

1-2pm on train to Max Weber platz
got fined on the train..40 euros! (heartache)

2-5pm Medical Microbiology
din know this module act comes with a practical after the lecture..protocol all in german..totally unprepared for it..but luckily met some nice pple. =)

5-6pm took wrong train change n change n change
result of always following blindly..first time travel alone so v v blur..n perhaps i was juz too tired..

all in all..bad day la..

22/04/06 Off to the Fleamarket

It's another sunny sunny day! haha so rare tat im in my room relaxing listening to music n blogging..wat's more normal wld be me blogging in the middle of the night..rabbling rubbish coz most of the time my mind is not clear when im tired. =) ling's slping soundly..poor her..din slp a wink last night..n im ignorant of tat till this morning..wat a fren i am..sry ling..=S


we went to the flea market this morning, tot it's early but no! the place is already crowded with pple by the time we reach there! everyone there trying to find something good n cheap. we had nothing in mind to buy so me n ling spent the first half an hour loitering ard look look see see..guess we both dun really like second hand stuff so..quite bored until we saw the pots stall! we bought 1 pot each. n then we passed by the plates stall n bought 5 plates 5 bowls 5 teaplates 5 small plates n 4 cups for 5 euros! we think it's too good an offer to miss so we took it instantly! n know wat...the next stall sells cuter plates for only 2 euros!!?!! well..wat's bought cannot be unbought so i shall not complain. =) den we met khim who was carrying a printer! haha we decided tat we're all not in a v friendly state to shop n home we went! came back cook instant noodles again..fast n fiilling. n we had v v yummy chicken soup (courtesy of lw). i hate to admit it but..lw make real good soups! can be our soup shifu le..=)

im amazed when i finally bother to draw my curtains ..WOW!! the trees r green!!! no longer botak or white but but GREEN!! it was all so beautiful..wat i cant take is tat..it has always been there, outside my window..but i never did notice until today..so some things r always by ur side but u juz dun bother to notice them..sometimes it juz takes a little extra effort n time..y cant we juz spare some? =)

21/4/06 Fruelingsfest @ munich

Spring is finally here!! I can feel the sun burning it's rays on me once again..but i love the sun here..though it's up there, the weather is cool like aircon. great weather to get sun burnt. =)
we went to the spring festival today. suppose to be an opening ceremony but..we were stuck in a tent for 1 hr before we found the place where the ceremony is held. im amazed by the beer waitresses..by their rich figures and strength. they can carry up to 6 one litre glasses at one go..wow..hmm..the glasses r v heavy..= o they fired 48 shots think sld be 50 but some failed to fire so..i only heard 48 shots. so there were ard 50 pple standing in a row n firing one by one. v much like our national day parade.





haha. saw v v big horses there. big horses excrete large amt of shit. they shit all over the place. yucks! after which we went to take a couple of rides including spin, merry go around n bumper cars!



by the time i took the later two i was a bit well..high. haha xp act we were all sort of "higher" den usual. the effect of beer. we had 1 litre of beer each at the Augustiner's with the loud live music n crowd, the atmosphere was great! =) i ate curry wurst + pomme frites n beer. lecker!



we challenged each other to bottoms up. i still have more den half left but i still accepted the challenge n wooho..beer makes me feel soooo full..wan burp but cant. wat a feeling. after all drunk their 1 litre, tat's it. we did lots of silly things n actions n took lots of silly photos. high perhaps but definitely not drunk. far from it k..but it was fun! =)

Skiing, La Spezia, Milan & Venice!!

we went skiing!!! it has always been my dream to do so n i really tot i could only ski in my dreams..until today!! real excited n it was real cool!! had a real hard time trying to fit into the ski shoes n a bit apprehensive at first but once i got the hang of it...i cant stop skiing!! can't wait to go for another ski! it was a real special day for me..skiing on my birthday! n i really want to thank all of you for making it so special! thank you all for the yummy choc cake!! was a real real pleasant surprise! esp after i was super shocked when i found out that the train person was abt to open my toilet door with me still inside erm...haha..=p in conclusion it was a absolute fabulous day skiing! wait for me! i shall be back for more skiing trips! =)

felt aches all over after my skiing trip..haha cant help but admit tat i haven done sports of any sorts for years..simply too lazy..haha..spent quite some time planning our long trip to italy! was not easy..had to book train tix, check that the time was juz right coz we'll be travelling to 3 places in 7 days!! they are LA SPEZIA, MILAN and VENICE. hee we decided to go pretty last min..so had to settle our train tix today. bought an overnight train to la spezia for me ling yan and alvin. it's going to take us 11 hrs!! with 2 stopovers!! omg..= o went back to settle our accomo in the 3 places..pretty ex..i spent 160 euros for the train tix + 170 euros for the hotels = 330 euros!! but i think it's worth it! right?

ate a v sumptous fish fillet lunch at Augustiner Keller. heard tat it's quite famous! had bier there. pretty strong. felt a bit giddy. think i drank too fast. hee. =) it was definitely a biertag. drink n drink whole day. shall refrain fr bier after today. we went to hofbrau at night. n know wat..it was snowing!!! yupyup snowing snow!! happy to be outside yet..real cold!!! had bier+lemonade with ling. haha im never going to let ling drink tat again..too dangerous..=)

did very very last min packing while picking a few italian phrases from callen. thanks cal! =) set off for our nightzug at 8pm. slept on train like a pig..too tired..had to wake up in the middle of the night to change trains..torture lo..n it was darn cold..n the people at the bahnhof looks dangerous..haha muz be me hearing too much bad stories abt italy..im glad we had a safe trip. =)

we reach LA SPEZIA le!!! it's a place highly recommended by alvin. n i muz say he has sehr gut taste! the place is like..heaven! we were all so excited to see the sea again..it was so crystal clear, the waves r like symphony to the ears n the sea breeze is simply refreshing! all in all..great place! the place we went to is called "Cinque Terre" meaning 5 villages. to me, the most fun part was our Wanderung from the first village "Monterosso " to the second village "Vernazza " i had so much fun climbing mountains n hills n stairs. we apparently climb up n down so many times! haha now i understand how past people have to travel from village to village to sell their goods. xin ku le! =) i cant describe the joyous feeling i felt when i caught glimpse of the second village in words! it was sheer happiness! nv felt so happy for so long.. =) we rewarded ourselves with ice cream there. delicious ice cream! i had ki-nana (kiwi + banane) and ambrosio (choc hazelnut) even the tap water there taste wonderful. simply heavenly. =) we had nice lunch n dinner in restaurants. could not help but patronised the restaurants beside the sea when we can enjoy the sea breeze n eat. the black n white pasta in mussel sauce was super yummy!! wat can i say..italy food is juz so great! =)

we arrived in MILAN at ard 4pm. cant do anything much. due to unforseen circumstances we had to wait in the lily hotel before they finally got our room ready..by the time we went out it was 5+..leaving us little time to walk ard before it gets dark. we wandered ard. walked to duomo di milano, impressive architecture! cant wait to climb up there n see the whole of milan from there! =) met yao there. n we walked ard tog before settling his accomo n retiring for the night.

went to duomo, castle n den..shopping shopping n more shopping! yan n ling bought v nice clothes n wore them out on the streets! =) i bought some clothes in h&m where it's more affordable..=) highlight of the day!!! football match at the milan stadium!! ac milan vs intermilan! intermilan sort of impressed me. ac milan wasn't tat gd after all. but they still won 1:0. =) sad to say but the match was not tat exciting. nearly the whole stadium was rooting for ac milan. dunno y. even inter's jerseys were sold at 10 euros cheaper. such is life n fame? had a little miscommunication befor the match. but settled n we were happily watching the match if not for the guy nxt to yan. took my seat n .. anyway one word describes him : disgusting.

VENICE!! the not so pretty on first sight..but gets more beautiful as time passes..for me, venice has this charm. alluring. love it. took many many boat rides. enjoy the rides. love standing by the side and enjoy the sea breeze while admiring the archi. it makes me wonder sometimes. will venice really sink someday? coz during high tides the sea level is real close to the ground. did some shopping n had lots of pizzas n ice cream. flavours i tried include: whisky cream, malaga, tiramisu, cassadra, rum...=) haha but the gondolas..erm..no comments. =p n yes! we caught a concert "vivaldi's four seasons" there as well on the first night. not v v gd. but i love the summer n spring movements!! esp summer! the player was sooooo good!! i really felt touched juz by listening to his violin sound..=) lots of pigeons here..n of coz..pigeon shit. haha..all over the place la..

on the train back to munich. din slp well. met another disgusting italian guy. italian guys. ><" so happy to be back home. n finally we matriculated. went to get my residents permit. today juz not my day. forgot passport went home get. out again. office opens at 2. back home cook. was late others hav to wait. went to get residents permit. pay 50 euros. others dun hav to pay. dun understand how their system works. pissed. forget it. went martkauf. misunderstanding. one good thing is tat..i found my ring!! haha!! heng.....lost 2 rings already...=p finally found my washing machine with khim's help. wash clothes with ling till 11+pm. hang clothes check modules n slp.

overslept!!!!?!!!! argh.....poor ling had to wait for me...sorry...=( went german class after mia for 4 days. haha. din really miss it anyway. if not for the 45 euros which i've so unwillingly paid..=p had to hand in referat tmr. horrified. we had potluck. i cooked stir fried vegetables. my first attempt k..not too bad la..=p n made some broccoli salad in the afternoon. ling cooked pineapple rice, at first taste like curry rice but eaten tog with pineapples taste good! khim cooked egg omelete n lw cooked ma you ji. such a long time since i had decent dinner. thanks all! =) we den watched nardia. haha the first time i watched it was ok except for a girl in the cinema who kept talking. but today seem v v long. had to munch chips to keep awake. maybe coz was feeling too cold n slpy..but still find the show nice. =)

ok, shall stop here. go bathe upload photos n slp. tmr sld i be sick too? haha..
